I recently stayed at Hotel Posada de Santiago that offered a great combination of affordability and quality. The room rates were quite reasonable, and the overall experience was pleasant. However, it's worth noting that there was a minor issue with bugs in the room.
Great location Clean rooms. Quiet and bit expensive
Guy at the front desk didn't write down our deposit. Left the room in perfect condition. Yet we were told upon checking out that our deposit was not on record so we got nothing back. Rooms are barely cleaned throughout our time there and there is mold on the ceiling
